Managing Consultants lead a small group of consultants. These Consultants are technically sound, but are true consultants who have an eye for business development and growth as well as technical skill. Managing consultants should be engaged at some level in all our engagements. They will help the lower level consultants review and find additional work.

This position reports to a regional Director of Consulting. You will work remotely; there is no central office, and most people work from their homes. Some travel will be required, both for onsite projects and internal meetings. Access to a reliable high-speed Internet connection is required. This position is for the US timezone, and the consultant must be able to work full-time during US business hours.

Three Main Jobs:

  1. Effectively Manage the work we have, and the customer projects
  2. Find More Work from our customers and their projects
  3. Develop the team’s skills and ensure we spend non-billable time in the most valuable way possible

Core Job Breakdown:

  • 30% - Billable requirement ( over a quarter )
  • 20% - Scoping, Project Management, & Reviews
  • 15% - Process development & Innovation
  • 10% - Team Management
  • 10% - Customer Relationship
  • 10% - Marketing Activities
  • 5% - Administrative Work

Requirements & Desired Qualities:

  • Can design and articulate plans for high level solutions and turn those into actionable work and proposals.
  • Approve topics for marketing activities
  • Own specific technology area’s, guide team to provide technical content on assigned topics
  • Ensure we are hitting team goals and billings
  • An Equal Combination of Soft & Technical Skills
  • Must possess strong business knowledge
  • Willingness to lead people
  • Ability to take manage projects, divide work effectively
